Lou Schmitt has extensive experience in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is a certified mediator; he received his mediation training at the Lancaster Mediation Center in Lancaster, PA. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators. He has for a number of years served as a court-appointed mediator through the Blair County Court of Common Pleas Pro Bono Mediation Program. He has mediated numerous civil and domestic cases. He has also provided service as an arbitrator for many years in civil cases of all kinds. He is the founder of ADR Solutions (www.ADRSolutionsPA.com), through which he provides private mediation, arbitration, and neutral evaluation services. ADR Solutions is located in Altoona, PA.

Lou has handled thousands of civil cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. He has personally tried over 100 civil jury trials to verdict, along with numerous bench trials and arbitrations. He has represented clients in the areas of personal injury, professional negligence, commercial disputes, contractual disputes, divorce and family law, employment, and numerous other areas. He has been designated as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the field of civil litigation.
